So, you've heard of Feng Shui, but not Life Shui! In fact, it sounds kinda like something I made up doesn't it?
Well, that's because I did! Sort of... Hear me out...
You know when you get that form as you go through passport control and you need to fill out a whole bunch of your personal information?
Well, there's one question that's been leaving me stumped for years.
Can you guess what it is?
Okay, you'll never guess. It's the one that asks for my occupation.
I know. Crazy right? I mean, how hard could it be to write down your occupation?
As it turns out, harder than you might think. Until recently, I've been stuck in Struggletown (with a capital S) about what to write in that teeny, tiny, little box.
Do I write that I'm a Holistic Counsellor, a Feng Shui practitioner, a Crystal Healer, a Colour Therapist, a Numerologist, a Reiki practitioner, a Personal Colour Analyst or an Author?
Remember, it's a teeny, tiny, little box.
The dilemma was real, until one night (well 3am if we're getting technical), it came to me. Life Shui. Ta da. That's it. I'm a Life Shui Expert.
"Um, sure," I see you nodding, wearing a slightly confused look in your eyes. "But what the heck does a Life Shui Expert do?"
The thing I've always loved most about my work is helping women to feel good about their WHOLE lives.
The stories I hear time and time again are about lack of time, lack of motivation, relationship struggles, lack of money, feeling directionless, feeling stuck and wanting a change....somewhere....somehow!
And for every person what that change looks like, what will work, is different.
Just like wearing bright pink lipstick won't be for everyone, aligning the Bagua Map to the front door won't be the best Feng Shui for everyone. Going for a run every day is some women's idea of heaven, while personally, the only way I'm going to run is if someone very bad is chasing me!
I believe the healthiest and happiest way for us to live our lives is when we're being true to ourselves.
This is why Life Shui is about clearing out the clutter and creating the space to have the life you want, not the life you've been told you 'should' be living. This includes your home, your wardrobe, your timetable, your daily habits, your relationships and the thoughts you think.
See? It includes pretty much everything that has to do with your life. Which is why it's called Life Shui!
Phew! I'm glad we got that cleared up.
And best of all...
The words 'Life Shui Expert' will fit just right in that teeny, tiny little box.
I hope you'll join me on the Life Shui journey.
Love Kylie xoxo
P.S. No passport required because I can work on Skype.
